R. Amos, OpenGL Learning Environment
1
The aim of this project was to implement an e-learning application for simple, interactive lessons in OpenGL.
J. Luck, Realistic Rendering
2
This is a project to create a program that produces images of 3-d scenes using the techniques of ray-tracing and radiosity. Ray-tracing and radiosity are two techniques that model the behaviour of light in different ways. This project aims by combining the strengths of both approaches to produce realistic images. The project's scope may be extended beyond these two techniques to include others that further enhance the realism of images produced.
J. Mullineux, Simulating Quantum Systems
3
The aim of this project was to implement various differential equation solvers for the Schrödinger equation.
W. Staveacre, Shader Development Environment - Blinder
4
This report details the development of a Shader Development Environment called Blinder. Blinder is a graphical user interface that allows the user to apply an Open Graphics Library Shader to a mesh and view the outcome. The interface also provides a means to alter this shader as well as scene and mesh properties to create the rendered scene the user requires. Blinder was coded in java with Java Open Graphics Library acting as a bind to Open Graphics Library. Blinder is controlled mainly through mouse inputs with JButtons as the interface. Blinder allows the user to load and use GLUT standard meshes or to import their own smd mesh. From here you can apply a texture and the shader and see the result. The shader logs are detailed to give the user feedback on any shader errors that have occurred. In this report details the background, research, design, specification, implementation and the evaluation which included testing Blinder is several different ways by various skilled users. Blinder did not suffer any major setbacks and completed all its given aims and objectives.
